As the first half of 2025 comes to a close, I thought this would be the perfect time to reflect on the past six months and set a few goals for the rest of June. It’s so important to pause, check in with ourselves, and recalibrate when needed — especially if we want to stay aligned with our bigger vision. So, let’s dive in.
First off, when 2025 started, I had this strong feeling that it would be a year of change. It just felt like my year. And honestly? Despite a few ups and downs (which are totally normal — I’m human after all), I still feel that way. I’m proud of everything I’ve already accomplished, and I have no doubt that the rest of this year will bring even more surprises and growth.
The two things I’m most proud of so far are finishing my TEFL certification and starting this blog. I have a tendency to give up on things when I feel overwhelmed or unsure, so seeing myself stick with something I love — and staying consistent with it — is a huge win for me. These past six months have shown me that I can follow through, and that has done wonders for my self-confidence. I’m still a work in progress, but I truly feel like I’m on the right track. In a way, I’ve decided to bet on myself — and I choose to keep betting on myself every single day.
Now, onto the goals I’d like to focus on for the rest of June. I narrowed it down to just three, to keep things simple and doable:
1. Reach 10 blog posts
I want to continue building this blog at a pace that feels good, not stressful. So far, including this Glow Note, I’ve published 7 posts — which means I only need 3 more by the end of the month. Totally manageable, and still exciting!
2. Start exercising again
Yes, I know — the classic “get back into working out” goal. And yes, I’ve written this one down before. But I’ll keep writing it until it sticks. I miss moving my body, and I miss how good it feels afterwards. I’m not aiming for five gym sessions a week — I just want to start small. One session per week, gradually increasing as I go. That’s the goal.
3. Finish at least one book
I love reading — I just don’t always make the time for it. I already have two books I’ve started and I’m halfway through both, so this should be the easiest one to check off. Still, I want to be intentional about it. Even small wins build momentum.
So there you have it. I’m proud of what I’ve already accomplished, and I’m excited to keep building on that progress. I don’t know if this Glow Note will motivate anyone else to reflect or set goals — but at the very least, it holds me accountable. I’ll try to update you at the end of the month and let you know how it went.
In the meantime, I’d love to hear from you:
